Life will amaze you in the most stunning ways and it will also shatter your heart. Life will leave little gifts at your feet, tiny moments that will grow and shape you into a better version of yourself, a version you are proud of. Yet, it will also bring you fierce storms that will challenge and mold you in ways that you never wanted to be challenged or molded. Life calls you to enjoy it in all its splendor but also calls you to be brave and fight for the life you want. This fight doesn’t happen on a battlefield. It happens in the quietest moments of everyday living. In the choice to keep living. So be brave and fight for the life you want, let it stun you and let it shatter you into the best version of yourself, and be proud of that journey.
Even when you are at your absolute best, you will not be good enough for everyone. There will still be people who point out your flaws, who find you unworthy of love or friendship or the job or whatever else. There will still be people who choose to see whatever they want instead of seeing the value that is painting on you like armor. Hold your head up high, secure that armor of value and worth, and remember that you are the only one who decides if you are good enough for this world. You are the only one qualified to determine your value and worth. No one else gets a say. No one else can judge the work, the effort, the fight, you put in. They may see the kinks, the dents, the scars, in your armor as weakness, but you will know them as strength. Do not let someone else undermine your strength. Do not let someone else define your value or worth.
Don’t be afraid to be too much. Don’t be afraid to be too emotional or too opinionated. Don’t be afraid to love too much or cry too much or laugh too much. Don’t be afraid to be too smart or too quiet. Don’t be afraid to read too much or talk too much or daydream too much. Don’t be afraid to be too much just because of what others will think. Be too much. Be the emotional one, the opinionated one, the smart one, the quiet one. Be the one that loves without reserves, the one that cries without hesitation, the one that laughs easily, the one who reads endlessly, the one who talks always, the one who dreams big. Be it all. Be you.
Love. In every single way possible, love. Love the people around you. Love the things around you. Love the lunch you ate, love the coffee shop that serves your addiction, love the rain, love the podcast on your commute. Love your people, love your pets, love your life. Never stop seeking love in the things around you. Never stop finding love in the smallest things. Never stop loving.
